Smart Veritas Appointed for QA/QC and NDT Coordination on INEOS Project One

Smart Veritas has been appointed to support Tecnicas Reunidas with QA/QC and NDT Coordination services on INEOS Project One, one of the largest petrochemical investments in Europe in a generation.

Project One is a flagship development by INEOS in Antwerp, Belgium, comprising a new ethane cracker and associated infrastructure. The project represents a significant investment in European manufacturing capability and will be one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally advanced facilities of its kind.

Smart Veritas will provide dedicated QA/QC and NDT Coordination support to Tecnicas Reunidas throughout the project execution phase. This includes:

Quality Assurance & Quality Control - Oversight of fabrication and construction quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and industry standards.

NDT Coordination - Planning, scheduling, and coordination of non-destructive testing activities across the project scope, covering weld inspection and material verification.

Documentation & Reporting - Comprehensive quality documentation management, inspection reporting, and traceability of quality records throughout the project lifecycle.

Tecnicas Reunidas is a leading international engineering and construction company, specialising in the design and execution of complex industrial projects across the oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors. Their appointment as a key contractor on Project One reflects their established track record in delivering large-scale refinery and process plant projects worldwide.

INEOS Project One will deliver a state-of-the-art ethane cracker in the Port of Antwerp, one of Europe's largest integrated chemical clusters. The facility is designed to operate with significantly lower carbon emissions than existing European crackers, supporting INEOS commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
